LOCATION: Honolulu, HI
COMPLETED: 2025
Blending residential warmth with workplace functionality, this 4,400-square-foot office was designed as both a studio and a gathering space. The project redefined what a design office could be, prioritizing collaboration, daylight, and comfort while creating a setting that reflects contemporary sophistication and the firm’s cultural roots.

The layout places the kitchen, conference room, and lanai at the heart of the office, establishing a central hub for interaction. Sliding doors allow the conference room to expand into communal areas, while the lanai serves as an outdoor extension for meetings, events, and relaxation. Flanking the core are the interior design and architecture studios, each benefiting from expansive windows, natural light and tailored workspaces.

Finishes strike a careful balance: soft, neutral tones in the studios inspire creativity and focus, while darker hues and playful details like a custom mural by Hawai‘i artist Kris Goto energize shared corridors. Key features include sit-stand desks, a 19-foot-long layout table with concealed storage and sliding tackable doors that double as a resource library.

The result is a workplace that feels less like a traditional office and more like a living studio, one that is flexible, welcoming and deeply connected to place. It serves as a daily inspiration for the team and a physical expression of the design philosophy they bring to every project.
