InForm Design Honored with LIVE Award at the 2025 IIDA Pacific Chapter Ho‘ohuli Awards

Design has the power to heal and transform. That belief came to life in InForm Design’s Capitol Place Amenity Spaces renovation, honored with the LIVE Award at the 2025 IIDA Pacific Chapter Ho‘ohuli Awards. The recognition celebrates excellence in design and the meaningful impact of spaces that foster connection, comfort and community.
Meaning “to change” in Hawaiian, ho‘ohuli reflects the transformative spirit that guides both the awards and our approach to design. Symbolized by the King Kamehameha butterfly, the Ho‘ohuli Awards honor projects that embody movement, renewal and connection while advancing the design profession in Hawai‘i.
Spanning 4,200 square feet, the Capitol Place renovation reimagined three communal spaces, the lobby, theatre and event room, into a cohesive environment that elevates everyday living while enhancing safety and visibility.

Each space was intentionally crafted to balance beauty, function and emotional well-being:
- Lobby: Reconfigured for greater visibility and security, featuring a welcoming new reception layout and warm, locally inspired materials
- Theatre: Elevated with refined seating, lighting and acoustics to deliver both luxury and flexibility
- Event Room: Transformed into a versatile gathering space with adaptable layouts, a full kitchen and a rejuvenated atrium connecting indoor and outdoor living.
The Capitol Place project reflects InForm Design’s belief that true transformation happens when design meets purpose. What began as a response to a challenge became a celebration of resilience, renewal and the shared human experience of coming home.
